Still
snow on the splinters
of ladders leaning
timber
falls the water
put wood on the fire
clean air by when
well, by then
fire crackles the same
as ice
thought outer space was god.
It is all hush or mist
Measure it keen
I am a deer in headlights
Stand with me
In this stream of thought
Of you today
Jennifer is a poet who dwells in the realm of possibilities which she believes are more numerous than impossibilities when you get right down to it. She has some other poetry on line at Invisible Ink Poetry, Moria Poetry, and Word Riot. She use to have a poem on Zafusy and some poems on Truckasaurus. In print she has poetry in Laughing Dog and Cooweescoowee. She created a lit journal once called Hidingkayak but it is now offline navigating the rapids. She has a book of poetry she wrote "Hooks in my Temples" but no it is not published. If you want to read it though she'd probably make you a copy.
