Night
I am not afraid
of the dark
I marinate in peace
and stillness
of
night
my
spirit illuminates
passion
creativity
I become a scribe
for the unseen,
ignored,
beautiful
wonders of everyday life past,
present,
and future
before daybreak,
I
close my eyes,
turning out the light
to the world
around me
to enter another
supernatural experience
Blade
partially naked
in a faded gown,
lightning strikes between my legs
stinging
like bees
in the middle of my back
like a military hazing,
blade to flesh,
blood stains
my initiation is complete
War Economics
click.
heavy
metal
rocks
another
Hummer
soldiers
collapse
memories
of
war
become
weapons
